College Counselor - Seattle / Eastside

Bob Sprung has the benefit of having worked with college bound students for nearly 25 years as a college admission representative, high school college counselor and independent consultant. He was an admissions counselor for nearly 15 years and last served as the senior associate director of admissions at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. In addition to evaluating admissions applications, Bob was the liaison to deans, academic advisors and the directors of the pre-health/pre-med program and Honors College while working collaboratively with the offices of financial aid and student life.

In 2010, Bob Dannenhold (www.collegeology.com) recommended Bob for the position of College Counselor at Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish, WA. He had served in this capacity for five years working with families and advising students on all phases of the college search and selection process including essay review and resume building while also emphasizing the importance of meeting deadlines.

After five years at Eastside Catholic, Bob started his career in independent consulting in 2015. He enjoys working with students throughout Seattle and the Eastside area. He travels often to visit colleges and meet admission representatives from around the country and attends annual conferences to stay informed about the constantly changing landscape of college admissions.

Bob holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Robert Morris University, an M.S. in Educational Studies with an emphasis in Policy Analysis and an M.A. in Corporate Communication, both from Duquesne University. As an independent counselor, Bob adheres to the high standards of practice of the counseling profession and is a member of the Pacific Northwest Association for College Admission Counseling (PNACAC) and Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA).
